John McCain is down 6-8 in the polls and the Palin/Biden debate is tomorrow night. But there's no attention grabbing negative ads, no bold campaign manuevers, and no stop the presses political stunts coming out of the McCain campaign today.
At least so far.
It looks like McCain's campaign geniuses might finally stop outsmarting themselves and just let Palin debate Biden straight up.
That would be a welcome development.

Actually, I think a series of increasingly dramatic political stunts is McCain's only shot at winning in Novermber. Yes it will turn some people off, but at least he gets to keep his hand on the helm of the news cycle. This is a terrific blog. Keep up the good work.
