The Shadow of Assassination

One of the items that got lost in the Hillary/RFK nonsense was that Hillary Clinton has lived under the shadow of assassination threats just as much as Obama.

There's always been a danger that some jerk would try to get their fifteen minutes of fame by taking a shot at Hillary Clinton. Even before she became the first serious female contender for the presidency, Hillary was the target of an enormous amount of vitriol from the right. It's easy to think that someone could have taken right-wing smearing one step further and mounted an assassination attempt.

For the record, I don't think Hillary Clinton was referring to the possibility of Obama being assassinated at all. She probably worries a lot more about herself in that regard.

So that makes what she said OK then?

Hillary is staying the race and hoping that Obama WOULD BE assassinated. It would be the perfect picture of the Clinton legacy. The Clintons are ruthless and politically determined to get Hillary into positions of power, like the presidency. This doesn't surprise me one bit as sad and morbid as it is. Think about it, the first women president because the first possible African-American black president was assassinated!! This is the stuff history is made of. Fact is always stranger than fiction and if the Clintons can think of it -- stranger things can happen. Watch your back Obama!

And Caric, your gladiator Hillary says it isn't over yet. What does that mean in the Clinton phrase book? The lions have not left the coliseum yet even if Obama didn't fall by a knock out blow by Hillary in weak link in his armor. The Clintons are hoping everyone stays around to see the credits in the show and maybe the ending will suddenly be different than projected. The Clintons are a sick duo that just can't stand losing by their own hands. Quoting Hillary, "it is not over yet"! Just what does that mean?

The right-wing would never want to assassinate Hillary. She has given so much unity to the floundering Republican Party that taking her out would only fragment the party that much more. I think the Republicans are paying for her security detail to make sure no harm comes to her. Hillary is a giant lightning rod to that charges up and pulls or holds that “giant right wing conspiracy” together (to quote Hillary herself). Obama has ruined Hillary’s political fun and there is not room at the top for both Obama and Hillary. There has been no rumored talk from the Obama camp about assassinations or such. This assassination talk is right out of the front pages of the Bill Play Book to keep Hillary in the running. Too bad it is all crashing in on the Clintons. But, as someone so pointedly indicated, Hillary has said, “It isn’t over yet!”
