I don't know why the right gets upset when people call them "war-mongers." After all, they're currently waging war on the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress. There's also the various on-going wars against liberals, immigrants, gay people, and racial minorities.
And that's not to mention that the wars against popular culture and science.
Maybe the right should "bundle" all their wars together and just call it the "Eighty Percent War," or the war against non-conservative America.
Oh yeah, Bill O'Reilly just declared war against the New York Times for referring to him as a white supremacist.
Hard to see where the Times came up with that.

By your reckoning Barack Obama should have done much better than 53 per cent, especially following up the train wreck that was W. What's the matter with Kansas indeed.
If Obama had run against a "real conservative," he would have done much better.
By the way, there's a way to test that hypothesis.
The Republicans could nominate Sarah Palin in 2012.
My hunch is that Barack Obama will join the one hit wonder's club in 2012, joining Jimmy and George. And, by war on immigrants, you mean illegal immigrants, right?
My own hunch is that Obama will win a second term more easily than won the first. Disgust with Bush and the GOP means Obama will still be getting the benefit of the doubt in 2012. It's also very likely that the Republicans will put up a weak opponent. Neither Romney, Huckabee, nor Palin would give him much of a fight.
I like the Eighty Percent War label. An effective soundbite for sure. I had never really thought about the many different factions that the Republicans have declared war against. Yeah, Obama is going to get another term. MSM has been thrashing Obama since day two of his administration, but yet people continue to have high levels of confidence in him. Republicans seem to want to continue with politics of old. I believe Obama knew they would behave exactly as they have. Obama did the right thing by trying to include them, and I predict Obama will continue to reach out. Republicans will lose the PR battle. Wouldn't it be nice if slash and burn politics were put to rest? Or at least put behind closed doors where it belongs. Another war worth mentioning - the war against welfare moms. Republicans have been very successful in labeling the welfare mom (and immigrants), as the true culprits causing my family to struggle. As long as we believe our neighbor is at fault, our blame will continue to be misdirected.
You mean welfare moms like the grifter in Florida who got a hug from Obama and a free house? And only in liberal la la land are illegal aliens called immigrants. Don't words mean anything in academia?
I don't know. I think it's more appropriate to help out a "grifter" with a house than the Bank of America with a few billion for bonuses. Certainly, the grifter would be a more worthy person--especially for a Christian.
