Instead, it's the invasion of Kentucky-style political corruption on the cheap. Former Brooklyn Supreme Court judge Gerald Garson got 3-10 years for fixing divorce cases in exchange for cigars. In the BOPTROT scandal in the early nineties, Kentucky legislative leaders corrupted themselves for steak dinners. Corruption is immoral--corruption for nothing (or almost nothing) is an embarrassment.
