Lucky He's Not A Democrat

LUCKY HE'S NOT A DEMOCRAT--It's a little advertised fact that John McCain is only 5 feet, 7 inches tall. And that might be stretching it a little. McCain's shortness doesn't usually register on television. That's because McCain's either sitting down to be interviewed or because the cameras are set up to make him look taller than he is. The television cameras also hid the fact that Alberto Gonzales, Tom DeLay, and Scooter Libby are tiny little guys as well.

This is one way in which McCain is lucky he's not a Democrat. If someone as short as McCain were running as the Democratic nominee, Republican hatchet people would have already come up with a couple of nicknames to ridicule his lack of height. GOP commentators began referring to Michael Dukakis (5' 9") as "The Shrimp" almost as soon as the 1988 campaign began. Coming to think of it, the GOP attack machine wouldn't be averse to ridiculing McCain's age either.

John McCain--Proud to be a Republican, Lucky to be a Republican!

McCain is a poor leader and can't trust his friends who are all mercenaries, check.

He is also short.

And old. Check.

You have it wrong B Moe. Being short isn't a problem for McCain because he won't have to face a wave of nasty stereotyping from Democratic and liberal types.

Actually, McCain IS a poor political leader and his campaigns are always poorly organized.

The problem with McCain's friends (Davis, Murphy, Weaver, etc.) is that they are just as immature and poorly organized as McCain.
