Something Useful from Harold Ickes

This thought from Harold Ickes about superdelegates also applies to the question of whether Hillary should drop out if she loses Texas.

Here’s the case [Ickes] has been been making: “Mr. Obama has just become the frontrunner. He has not been subjected to any real degree of scrutiny by the press.”

Then, he says, he tells superdelegates that “we have an obligation” to wait and pick the best candidate for the Democratic Party. “We can’t nominate a candidate who can’t withstand the withering attacks of the Republicans.”

In other words, Hillary should stay in the race until Obama shows he can take the heat as a Democratic front-runner.

Where is your outrage about the smear from the Hillary Campaign this week?

Never underestimate Caric's capacity for selective amnesia and and his ability to withstand cognitive dissonance.

Actually, I don't do "outrage" very often.

Unless it's Karl Rove and who isn't outraged by Rove?

The Hillary thing. One of her whiny staffers put an Obama image on their e-mail and sent it around to one of more other staffers. It was stupid and the staffer should be fired for being stupid. Otherwise--no big deal.

No big deal as long as its your favorite candidate doing it, right Caric?

Hey Caric!

How are you going to like having Mike Hail as your new boss?

My program is a likely target for re-organization within the university. So, I have lots of potential new bosses. I don't see where Hail would be that much different from the rest of them.

Way to play it coy, Ric. Everyone knows how much you and Hail hate each other.

It'll be fun to watch you get marginalized even more than you are now.

Chump.
