A little ...I so wish I could say I'm surprised. A little authority. a badge a gun, now a taser, and suddenly there exists a whole new aspect of the racism which permeates law enforcement. Routine torture of suspects, especially African-American male suspects, is not new. What's new and very disturbing is that with tasers, and Youtube added to the mix, it is a spectator sport. Gives racist police officers an opportunity to, as you put it, "mete out summary justice" without cause and it allows anyone with a cell phone to create sadistic free entertainment to the regular viewers of youtube some of whom are also bigoted white supremacist cowards able to indulge their hate via the sick youtube postings to which you referred without owning up to what they are. <br />Put the haters in uniforms; arm them with guns, tasers...who knows what else; send them into the areas where unemployment, homelessness, and consequently crime are highest and turn them loose. Is it justice and freedom? Nope. More sick-assed racial profiling. The more things change; the more they stay the same.Todd Mayonoreply@blogger.com
